Lisa's home is as warm and stylish as she is! Love so many of the little details -like the hall bench that JUST fits in the hook of the stair tread and closet wall. Like the article says, I just want to stress how importantly it is to get there EARLY. The earlier the better! In many cases, unless you're looking for junk or need to furnish an apartment cheaply with lower quality items, don't even bother going to the 2nd day of a 2 day sale. Learn that the hard way! I'm not a fan of storage on the tank -it gets knocked off and if something goes wrong it's a pain to get the lid off with all of the 'stuff'. I prefer a small glass shelf -also avail. at west elm - mounted up above the toilet -or at my house thats where my medicine chest is. I'm sorry to report that the rug is a hand me down from my parents from 25 years ago so not available anymore.I love it but it's nothing special -it came from the homestore of a department store in Pittsburgh that is now Macys. The gallery wall started with 3 large pictures that slowly over time evolved into what it is today. I've even added a few more pieces since these pictures were taken! OMG this house is incredible! Everyone has to keep in mind that the best inspiration comes from looking at 'high end' homes. Take advantage of the knowledgeable professionals who worked on it as well as the designer products to replicate in your own apartments or houses, on a smaller, DIY scale. Good design doesn't have to cost a lot of money, but sometimes when it does -it's just amazing! Hi - Stefan the homeowner here. The author just let me know that this was reposted again! To answer your questions -the lamp was from CSNlighting.com -but they don't offer it any longer, unfortunately. I keep my clothes in a closet by the front door and also in the bottom drawers of the bookcase. I agree I have a lot of clutter -but I'm a collector by nature and it's a VERY small apartment!
