It looks very nice. Why do some people want a picture that shows the bed and other furnishings as they were previously? Do you have no imagination? Before & After: Disguising Offset Windows Behind a Bed |

You have to be sure they have metal gear boxes. On the KitchenAid website they have addressed the issues they were having with the plastic gear boxes that they had switched to. I have a six quart model with a metal gear box and love it. No issues. I called KitchenAid with my concerns prior to purchasing it and they were very helpful and were aware of the problems that people were having with their products. The rep I got on the phone told me where to purchase one with metal gear boxes. I believe the plastic ones they were trying to switch to could not withstand the heat that the motor produced and the engines were overheating. I think they are still made in Greenville, OH. Modtomic..."isn't there enough in life to depress us?" Grey isn't depressing. It's a color. Why is it depressing? I find it soothing and calming. Before & After: Francis's Transformative Gallery Wall |

I don't use them or really like them. They're just one more thing to have on the table that isn't really necessary. I say simple is better. Just a simple napkin folded neatly is more than enough. Fun or Faux Pas? Napkin Rings for Dinner Parties |

We have a refrigerator with a glass door on it. When we first had it installed everyone said, with a little bit of fear in their voices "whew...you're gonna have to keep that clean." Yes...we do. I just made it part of my every day cleaning schedule and it became second nature to wipe down the shelves and tidy things up. Do I sound like Monica on Friends? I just said "tidy-up my fridge". I would leave the appliance is as well. I don't understand the practice of making the appliances the same color as the cabinetry or making them blend in. Why disguise your fridge? It is a kitchen. It's like painting your car the same color as the inside of your garage. Before & After: Jessie's Bright White Kitchen Reno |

I love grey. I don't find it drab or depressing. Yes, I really do want grey walls. My bedroom is a slightly lighter shade of grey with white woodwork, I find it to be calming and a great backdrop to my art. Which I hang on a wall. A Beautiful, Dark Bedroom Sees the Light |

I live in an older home (1901) yet love modern furniture. I quickly realized that if I wanted to add modern furnishings I had to honor the age of my home. To make it work I added antique furniture in with the mid-century finds and new pieces. It works well (I believe) and doesn't look like I just want to live in a more modern house. I actually own that refrigerator. I love it. Everyone remarks about how great it looks - But I'm always surprised when people see it and remark that it would be hard for them have one because of the "having to keep it clean issue." I just keep my fridge clean. It's fairly simple. I throw out old food or try not to buy too much for my husband and I and don't collect lots of bottles of condiments -that you don't use a lot. It is a commitment - but worth it. Appliance Envy Inside Man |

I have a refrigerator with a glass door. People are always commenting that they couldn't have one in their home as they "would have to clean it". They don't say "clean it more often". They say "clean it". Hmm.? The Kitchn On: Refrigerators Kitchen Bath Month 2010 | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |
