I moved to Philadelphia a couple years ago and barely knew anybody. I decided to join some sport and social leagues. I joined a coed football league to begin with and right off the bat I made friends. From there I just joined a bunch of other leagues and now all my friends I hang out with, I've met through the sport & social leagues. It's great to join a team and even if you don't click with the people, they could introduce you to one of their other friends. I recommend to anyone to sign up for one if your live in a city that has a league.
