I think this is a great list not only as a reward for your hard work but in recognition that almost all of these will become distant memories for awhile once your baby arrives. ;) Or at least, they will be very different versions from what you are able to enjoy now. We've never done it with our kids and don't plan to. Honestly, I don't like pictures of crying or scared children on some stranger's lap and don't feel the need to put my kids in a weird situation just for an ironically retro photo opp. I don't encourage my kids to sit on the laps of men they don't know and don't see this exception as worthwhile. I take plenty of other photos during the holidays and the rest of the year to skip the mall lines. Pictures with Santa: A Worthwhile Tradition? |

I can't stand a room that is staged to look beautiful but the function of it is completely overlooked. Sometimes you can tell by looking at a picture that no one would ever sit in the chairs, set their drink on the end table, or be able to sit and eat at the dining room table due to the placement of the furniture, the heights of the furniture, or the style (and expense) of the furniture. I have to be able to picture how a room is actually lived in for it to be attractive. That being said, sometimes form should not completely give way to function as in the case of couches or chairs with built-in cup holders [*SHIVER*]. Ew, I Can't Stand That! Design Allergies |

Ummm, Judiau? Illegal behavior? As a prosecutor, I must say I've never prosecuted someone for "hanging onto bags of poop." I'm very curious which jurisdiction criminalizes such behavior. Nursery Nevers: Products You'd Never Purchase Again Nesting a Nursery |

I'm glad to see the IKEA kitchen on here. We bought one for our son a year and a half ago and he and his little sister both play with it a lot and it's in great shape. It's small and easy on the eyes so I don't mind looking at it in the middle of our hallway and it didn't cost us a small fortune at all--a great buy. Play Kitchens for Any Budget |

Wow. It's really disturbing to see how many people seem to hate children so much. Good thing you never were one and will never have any. Having a child is the biggest eye-opening experience in the world and forces you to be less materialistic and self-centered, gifts a lot of people on here could use, honestly. But I take great comfort in knowing your Eames chairs shall remain pristine--much more important than the future of our race, to be sure. When Kids Are Coming To Your House |
