I think two full sized beds would look like a motel room. Go for two quirky twins or one very serene king. Unless you really feel the need for privacy, don't bother with curtains and dividers (geez! If that was the case, I don't think the would be the arrangement...) have fun! Enjoy your new place.m How To Design Shared Bedroom For Two Single Ladies? Good Questions |

I love/hate the country just like I love/hate the city. But what I love about both is this: I feel completely anonymous. If that's something you like about the city, you'll like it about the country. The suburbs are different, everyone is in your business. City or Country: Nothing in Between! |

Lambertville, NJ's Golden Nugget is my favorite and driving distance from NYC. All old stuff (no faux handbags). And great prices--compared to New York. 2013 Flea Market Guide: Coast to Coast |

Best advice I received about making new friends after a big move: be the friend you want to have. Don't wait for friends to find you, find them. Make plans, be outgoing-ish, take a leap. Examining Adult Friendship: Can You Go From Friendly to Friends as a Grown-up? |

AT, can you please stop posting pictures of nurseries with garlands over the cribs? This site has normalized such an obvious and avoidable stragelation hazard. Seriously, I'm just waiting for AAP to issue a statement (or re-issue one, as I bet this was first cautioned against in, like, 1908...) It's not stylish; it's dangerous and it's in soooo many of the nurseries you feature. Tenley's Dreamy Lilac Nursery My Room |

Plain Linen! Something neutral, but lovely. And get feathers in the seat. Kooky fabrics only look good in editorials or somebody else's house. You'd get sick of something bold. I know I would. Classic or Bold Upholstery on Quality Vintage Settee? Good Questions |

I think a practical gift is great for someone low on funds--and a lux practical gift is even more wonderful. It does feel special to give and receive (I've been on both ends of this one) something needed but out of reach or a new something that's totally worn out. What I don't like is the "grown up christmas list" (is the song playing in your head) from folks of means that include totally specific or boring and mundane gift suggestions. I don't, for instance, want to buy anyone "work out clothes." If you can afford a gym membership, you can buy your own sports bra. I like to give gifts that meet that age-old requirement of something the recipient wouldn't get themselves and if that's socks, by all means get that person some socks! What I dont like is when gift giving feels like playing gopher. Styles Of Giving: The Practical Gift |

Make breakfast a sit down affair each day. It becomes like a family meeting where you can discuss the plans for the day.
