My huge loss (mentally and financially) was my top floor apartment in Los Angeles (west side). I lived in for about 8 months. My BF and I got a terrific deal....a quiet, private, 2b/2b, granite counters, new fixtures, high ceilings, plantain shutters, new paint and a large balcony overlooking a huge pond w/ waterfall. It was like living next to a river.

Unfortunately, the tenants below us were chain smokers. Meaning, sitting outside on their balcony every 20 minutes-24/7. BF ended up with chronic bronchitis. I suffered with almost daily asthma attacks and ended up in the ER several times. We could never open our windows or enjoy the balcony. Second hand smoke oozed through vents and poured through the single pane windows. Our place smelled like a shooting gallery or some filthy bar.

Sadly, we had to break the lease, apt. hunt, pack everything and move, again. So frustrating and heartbreaking--it was such an amazing apartment!

I really like it. I think corner fireplaces are great, personally. Glad you left it in!

I am absolutely in LOVE with this home! The colors, the decor, everything is so perfect!

Love this! What did you use to cover the cords of the multiple lights (above the dining table)? It looks amazing! Also, where did you get the antlers? Are they real/painted or are they man-made?
