hey TheWholesomeHome, you do realize that sodium chloride is sodium chloride, right?
And that salt intake can EFFECT blood pressure and does not CAUSE high blood pressure. Salt is a an incredibly critical element to consume (not to mention iodine)...

It's bunk like this that causes people to take up strange causes....

May we ask why Martijn is moving to a salt-free diet?
Is it based on true doctors recommendations to move to a low salt, or due to the belief that this will somehow make them more healthy?

for all of you so upset about the shark thing...
As far as I can tell, all the objects in this post are actually made with stingray skin, not shark skin. you can tell because the still have the white raised bit in the center of the cuts, indicating the peak of the stingray's back.

shark skin is texturally not as smooth as sting ray, and is in fact fairly abrasive.

not that killing stingrays is cool, but they are not as high on the foodchain or as endangered as sharks.

soak in cold water, wash in a strainer/colander to get a TON of excess starch out, then dry in a salad spinner!

less effort than the squeeze. also, the extra starch removal keeps them crispy and prevents them from going grey!

Throwing rice in there (or a burr grinder) also does a good job of cleaning up.
I recently bought a hamilton beach one that has a removable stainless cup, so you can wash it in the sink. SO much better!!!!

ciaoamy, they are the same if you are talking about the le crueset with the black iron interior. They have some pans that are enameled on the inside, and that is a different product.

The only difference otherwise is the prettier exterior and the 10x price

although very pretty, those frosted sliding doors have very little function and seem mostly like they'd get in the way. They don't keep the dishes on the shelves any cleaner, and wouldn't disguise a mess behind them....
