You could talk to you landlord about using a product like Green Glue. http://www.greengluecompany.com/. Not sure exactly how you would use is though- possibly by applying the glue and drywall to the neighbors ceiling. May be worth checking out. What To Do When You Are the Noisy Upstairs Neighbor?
