I have shredded it--along with a carrot and some potato--and made little fried pancakes. Very tasty. I also like to bring one along on a hike with a pocket knife and a bit of hummus. It stays crisp and cool in my pack.

I received this same pan as a wedding gift but in the tri-ply stainless steel, which is more affordable. The d5 line came out as an upgrade, but as a very candid and knowledgable sales associate said, there is little difference between the two. Faith is right, the pan is wonderful! I made a big batch of homemade tomato sauce last night--less splashes on the stovetop compared to using my saute pan.

Yes! Some friends started this tradition year ago. I only attended the first one but hope to return in the future. They occur the saturday before and usually involve friends traveling from all corners to attend.

I lived in interior AK for years and shopped in Anchorage and Fairbanks for groceries. Certainly I had some dud lemons, but no more than when I lived in Colorado or New York state. So try some freshies! If you do get a good one, you might buy a bunch, then squeeze and freeze the juice for use later. Even now I freeze lemon juice when the lemons are good. I freeze in an ice cube tray for easy use later.
