Ha, B for B! I gasped when I read your warning, thinking, "Oh no! Are there some unruly roots I shouldn't be cutting?" Then I calmed down and got your joke... Thanks for finding my typo - I'm going to correct it right now.

The rug was really going out on a limb for me, but I've ended up loving it. Got it at Overstock; it's labeled "Horizon Rugs". I remember it was under $300 for all wool, no child labor. I must warn that it shed like crazy for quite a while, but it seems to have tamed down now.

They're from Drexel's Declaration line of furniture, 1950's. Here are some I turned up on a quick search just now: http://www.etsy.com/listing/104586319/rare-1950s-6-drexel-declaration

@Leitho, as I said, my house doesn't face in a cardinal direction, making it a bit slower to figure out exactly where south is (the four faces of the house are not good as references because its placement is so tweaked). This would help orient you to the cardinal directions immediately instead of thinking, "Okay, north is 20 degrees off from the front of the house". Maybe it wouldn't be confusing for others, but it's confusing for me..

@doubledutch: Oops! I re-read that sentence about the almond milk and realize it sounds like I'll be making it for my son at <1yr. What I meant is that I'll be making it for MYSELF long before he's a year old. I'll have to reword that.

I have read about baby-led solids and do like the sound of that approach. Thank you for the link!

I think you are right, Computra. I should have said: For me, it all began in Finland. That's where I discovered and came to love eating pea soup on an every-Thursday-basis.

LacyBones - I've double the recipe with no special accommodations and it turned out fine. I found that even the single recipe yields enough for a small cup (6oz. or so?) for about 8 people.

Warm Blueberry Soup
Recipe Review

caliH - I'm not sure whether the recipe linked required hulling the seeds. I've seen some that do and some that don't, and this one doesn't mention it either way. However, I found a way to hull the seeds relatively easily from Yahoo Answers: "The seeds must be totally dry. Use a wooden mallet to hammer the seeds, shattering the the hull. Now transfer them in a stock pot full of water. Stir. The hull will float to top, the seeds will sink down to the bottom."

@gf - It gets warm, but after being on for an hour I could still comfortably touch the glass part of the bulb. It seemed hotter at the large plastic base, but still not as hot as an incandescent after an hour of use.

maple - This bulb is 8.6 watts, but is "40 watt equivalent", as in its output appears similar to that of a 40 watt incandescent.
