we just moved from Marin to SF about 6 months ago. We have a 2.5 yr old. Everyone thought we were crazy because most people migrate from SF to Marin when they have kids. We LOVE being in the city with a kid. We live in the Inner Richmond, though, so there are more kids in this neighborhood, than say downtown. We are within walking distance to 2 parks and the library. There are kids all over those places! What I love about the kids/families in SF is the diversity. I hear at least 4 other languages being spoken while at the playground. That my son will know all different kinds of people in all different walks of life, I'm truly thankful!
