People often make the error of believing that renting is somehow less than owning when, in fact, they both have advantages and disadvantages. My home is MY home whether I profit from it or not. (not-for-profit co-ops, an idea from the 70's needs to be given new life- but that's another topic.)
When we make a space our own it not only changes how we feel in the space, but it can also has a domino effect that will change what your building becomes, what your neighbourhood becomes and so on and so on. Suddenly people are outside painting over graffiti, picking up garbage and demanding slower traffic speeds in their neighbourhood. So let's paint that wall, fix the leaky tap and watch the magic of caring start to move beyond your four walls.

I really struggle with getting rid of chipped plates. It seems, I don't know, wasteful? I never use them when entertaining or rather the guests don't get them and on a daily basis the non-chipped plates are always kept at the top of the pile for family use (waiting their turn to be chipped!). I can't donate them because if I don't want chipped plates why would I assume someone else would, and yet to throw an almost perfect plate in the trash ... well ... back to wasteful. I also have to order in replacements for my set and it takes forever for them to come. Honestly, I never seem to get around to ordering new ones. Hmmm.... Sounds like an excuse right so -Help! I'm stuck. Give me a good reason to get rid of those chipped dishes.

Its great to have flowers in the home. I am starting to see tulips and daffodils in the local shops so I plan to bring home an early spring. I use Method products- so I'm good there, but I do have a dilemma. I have two lovely dogs, my small space doesn't smell like dog until I vacuum! I have a great vacuum with filters, but the doggy smell still comes through. I leave the windows wide open when I vacuum, which isn't that pleasant in the winter! I change the vacuum bag way before its full, which is really wasteful. Does anyone have any suggestions?
