Just a warning about the Karlstad sofa (or any Ikea sofa with the same cotton fabric). We bought one second hand in excellent condition and the cushions have held up well over the past two years. Unfortunately, our sofa gets sun from our back window and the once dark grey color is now a faded, hideous purple ish tye dye look. It really looks pretty bad and we will have to buy a new cover just to sell it when we move. I'd stick with white if you can keep it clean so you don't have that issue. Comfort-wise, the sofa is ok for sitting, but not a super comfy movie watching sofa.
