I try this with green onions all the time. They get a tiny spurt of life and then get gooey and gross no matter how much or how little attention I give them. Cursed! Bok Choy, Pineapple & More: 17 Plants You Can Grow From Kitchen Scraps Black Thumb Gardener |

Hands down for expenses I use Expensify- you can set it up to automatically read from any/all of yours, generate IRS acceptable cash transaction receipts, make notes, and set up rules to automatically organize expenses as they occur into specific categories. For example, I set mine up to automatically move certain things to my full time job report, contracted job report, small business report (yeah, I have 3 jobs), medical expenses report, vacation report, known tax deductions (car registration anmd tax prep fees) report. If you live in Texas (and maybe other SOuthern states, I don't know), Fiesta is hands down the best. I can get 6 months worth of chickpeas for $2 and 6 months of quinoa for maybe $8? Don't even get me started on lentils. I go to the HEB (our Star/Shaws, Krueger, Albertsons equivalent) every week and a half or so for my produce because the selection is strangely broader then, but for pantry staples and spices I stock up at Fiesta every 3 months or so. Did I mention the pirates' stash of saffron I can get there versus the arm and a leg at my regular place? Fiesta is a treasure trove because while it's marketed mostly as the Texican grocery, it has huge European, Middle Eastern, Indian, African, and Carribean selection. The Asian selection is decent, but Austin has a million gigantic Asian grocery stores for a broad selection. Where Do You Buy Whole Grains? |

I use Tropiway's FuFu Flour and have always had a good result. And when I have periods of paleo dieting, I modify it to make a kind of flatbread. How Can I Make African Fufu at Home? Good Questions |

I always use dried chickpeas. I just do 1-2 dried cups at a time and throw em in the rice cooker for a quick rehydrating or the crockpot. Nomnomnomnom. Cooking Chickpeas from Scratch: Is It Really Worth It? |

I just- what? While AT was my go to, I still read TK every day and RN, OD, and UP every two days. Why isn't all the content for AT together? It just makes no sense. Rather than further chopping it I've always wanted to be able to view everything from all the channels of all the sites. The new design just feels so cold and cataloged. It's not inviting. I've been thinking about doing this, but having worked in retail/resale for so long in the past, the reversed hangers make me angry and fidgety. I do have a new rule now though- at least once a week I wear one of my skirts and one of my dresses. I have beautfiul things, but in the morning rush I just forget them and go for comfort. My partner's family isn't big on tradition but mine is and he's really gotten into it. Day after Thanksgiving we put up the tree (Everything Xmas fits in one trunk that perfectly fits a storage nook so I don't go overboard). Xmas eve we have a big dinner and family presents with the extended family at my grandmother's. Xmas morning with the immediate family witha slow grazing coffee and breakfast of required pumpkin muffins and venison sausage. Then Santa presents, playing with my nephews and an afternoon at the movies. What Are Your Home Holiday Traditions? Reader Survey |

CrazyLady, coconuts are considered a tree nut, so the overlap between people with almond allergies and coconut is pretty large. Like my boyfriend, who could not resist my macarons, even when he broke out in hives. Keep the Cute, Nix the Nuts: Make Nut-Free Macarons |

I do rolls months in advance and freeze them. For easy sides you can prep in advance- collard greens sauteed with orange juice and raisins; cubed sweet potato sauteed with rosemary and mixed with ricotta and parmesan. Just pop your turkey in the oven when you wake up Thanksgiving morning. Warm everything else up 30 minutes before meal time. Done! Simple, Seasonal Food Ideas for Thanksgiving? Good Questions |

I have a similar issue. We put the entertainment focus in a corner and the couch at an angle diagonally across the room so the the front door opens to the walk way behind the couch through to the next room. It only works because we don't use our fire place. When we can afford it we're definitely getting a smaller couch. How To Layout Living Room In 1930's Bungalow? Good Questions |
