It depends on the size of the room for bed size, but if you don't have the space for an expedit bookcase, Ikea has those curtain panel things that go on a track. That way you can pull it out and have privacy, or roll it back and have the room be open. Kind of like a hospital room, but less depressing.

I listen to podcasts in the bathroom and have thought about speakers. Bluetooth would be ideal for me as I like to keep my phone in my bathrobe pocket.

My 60's Kenmore machine sewed through 2 layers of microsuede with no problems at all. It's sturdy, easy to work with, and stretches enough that I don't think you'd have problems with it tearing like the leather.

A greasy meal always helps me feel better. A fillet-o-fish sandwich with fries and a diet coke, or a big steaming hot bowl of pho and I feel much much better.

Ever since I saw this at Ikea months ago, I've tried desperately to come up with some reasonable use for it. It's cute and someday I will come up with a use for it. Likely 8 days after they discontinue it.

Funny, my husband just asked me to find him a keurig for his office at work last night. This would be perfect!

We stopped paying for cable service and just catch up with our 'regular' shows via hulu on our Roku. No social media and television mixtures for us.

There are a few places online that sell "silk" rice paper style lanterns. I considered getting a few sets for our covered deck but then decided that the "silk" ones would eventually mildew (as does everything in Washington). I bought super cheap paper ones at World Market 3 years ago and they still look fine.

We have 2 80lb dogs and despite being pretty clean, they transfer their funk and dirt onto everything. We have sofa with washable covers, and I was able to get 2 green Ikea shag rugs and duct tape them together (the nap keeps them from looking like 2 different rugs) for $100. At that price, I feel good about throwing them out in a year or so if/when they start to get funky. The color is not so light as to show stains, and not so dark that their white fur shows up too badly. I considered getting FLOR tiles, but the cost per square foot was just too high comparably.

I have a couple orchids that I have kept from totally dying, but the flowers are long gone. Perhaps I need to dig through my craft crap and make a new flower spike out of copper wire and something shiny.

My husband ended up with a second-hand aeron chair at his office, thinking it would be the greatest thing ever. Within a week he was back to using his $80 office depot special.

I cut a branch off of a madrona in our back yard and spray painted it white. It's my intention to mount it on the wall above my nightstand somehow and hang jewelry on it. I still haven't actually tried mocking it up yet, but I think it'll be pretty if I can pull it off.

We had a memory foam mattress for a few years before my husband couldn't live with it any longer (I loved it, he hated it). A family friend was getting rid of her top of the line king-sized sleep number bed around the same time so we bought it off of her. He loves it, I HATE it. If you like sleeping on anything below 50, it's like sleeping on a glorified air mattress. I can't wait to get rid of it and get something better.

Edit - I just grab a small hunk of duvet and tie the ribbon around it.

I sewed some old ribbon into the corners of all of my duvet covers. I still have no idea why they're so expensive. Its basically a huge pillowcase. Insane.
