I tried numerous times to comment on the original post, but their captcha system isn't working.

My questions with this are: How do they keep the grass trimmed and do they have more problems with bugs coming into the house with the grass table in the home?

Also: For a home with cats you could plant catnip instead of grass, I would imagine. Unless it would result in overdose.

I have never had baby powder work for bugs.

Trying citrus Pledge spray into holes/cracks in window frames and wiped top and bottom of window sills (HOPING the mgmt co fills them in) and am getting an air-tight container for cat's extra food. Giving up cat's auto, timed feeder and trying cat dish with water/dish soap in cake pan surrounding it. Also trying a new ant trap-type thing bought at Home Depot.

I am VERY phobic of bugs, especially sugar ants, indoors and en masse especially.

Mgmt co will not pay for extermination services per lease. That really sucks because of our lower income right now and my phobia to battle with. Ugh.

Good Questions: How To Get Rid of Ants? Yuck!

What if you can't find where they are coming in from and have no clue where a nest could be located? Then how do you keep them from returning? My skin is crawling just thinking about them being in my home.

These ants have wings. Texas apparently breeds them differently. (Just moved to TX about 3 weeks ago).

I read online that ants could not get through baby powder so put it anywhere in the kitchen I thought that they could be coming in from. Still an ant would appear.

I then decided to say f'k it and use bug spray between the screen and window sill and at the base of the cupboard under the sink. Still ants appear. All but 3 have been in the kitchen.

I have yet to find their nest or pathway or ant hill (I'm on the 3rd floor). It is driving me crazy.

Oh and these are ants that fly. I never knew that kind existed until I moved to TX recently. Ugh.

How long are pumpkins good for displaying on a shelf before they become soft or moldy? I love the look and would love to do something similar on my own bookcase.
