Thank you all for the lovely comments. The is from Forbo, a dutch linoleum manufacturer. The color was called 'lava ash' I think. We have this color and material throughout the whole house and still love it

@MissRight Thank you for your compliment. I can’t remember were we bought the birdhouses but you can buy them online as well. They are called ’Build your own birdhouse’. I noticed today that Tom’s age is wrong. He is 13 months, so not a small baby anymore.

With this afternoon fall light it does look kind of ’sterile’ but at night with the little lamps lit on the cabinet it feels warm and cosy. I happen to look for a rug a while ago with winter coming, not sure if were buying yet.

Actually it was one of the first items we bought and because of the happy red we decided add some red to the room. Tom and Roos still love to play with it.
