Not sure if yellow snow is the best idea but I love the rest. The ice marbles would probably look great at night near a light source (that's not too much of a heat source). Experiment with Food Coloring What To Do This Weekend |

My book collection is quite fluid, so I keep the jackets (of what few hardcovers I have). That way, when I donate to a charity flea market, people there can read the blurb and so on. If I lend a book to a friend, I keep the dust jacket as a reminder. I also use the flaps as a bookmark. Should I Save My Book Dust Jackets? Good Questions |

Closet posts, make me wonder about the people who own the closets. Much more than, say, kitchen posts or bedroom posts. Who are these people who only have pretty dresses and cute shoes? What life do they lead? Where do they keep their undergarments, their sports gear, their pyjamas, or do they do without? Do their closets always look like this, or do they degenerate, like my tiny wardrobe, as soon as they start pulling out things from the bottom of piles? Beautifully Organized: Clothes Closets |

Well, I don't have the space to store seasonal wardrobe items seperately, but I do put extremely seasonal items (thick wooly pullovers and fluttery dresses, mainly) in bags when the season changes. 5 Basic Tips for Decluttering Your Closet |

I have a long string of fairy lights that I tape along a book shelf as a narrow triangle. Then I put baubles and anything else I have that could hang on a christmas tree along the boards (I use tape but little hooks might work). It looks better than it sounds and is my version of a space-saving christmas tree (but I celebrate with my parents who have a real tree). Tips For Decorating Bookshelves for the Holidays? Yes, preservasionists should have a say, but also, the buyers should have been notified, and should now have the right to annul the purchase instead of being stuck with a project they never wanted to take on. (Although to be fair I don't understand how you can buy a house like this and think "let's tear that down" but that's neither here nor there.) You know, the old "these books were nothing special to begin with" excuse that always gets brought up in these posts becomes ivalid once you can SEE that a perfectly lovely* copy of "Gulliver's Travels" has been hacked into with a saw. I'm all for book projects like this, in fact, I'm probably going to make planters for my cactus plants like the one above, but that's what outdated reference books are for. 10 DIY Ideas for Book-Based Kids' Decor |
