I love that you treat have a new baby as nothing more than a new decorating dilemma. Really it's more important that your apartment look cute than be safe for a baby. I'm sure your wee one will be so precocious that rather than stick things in their mouth, they will make a lovely decoupage out of whatever they find on the floor.

I think you accomplished your desire for more cabinets well but am puzzled why you choose such dark finishes in all ready small room. dark floors, dark counter and pretty dark cabinets. If you had just done lighter uppers, a lighter counter and maybe some mirror or wavy glass door inserts the room wouldn't seem nearly so narrow or cramped. A galley kitchen is really great when you have a real chef who like an efficient work space. Clearly the space before was more for eating and hanging out in and you have eliminated the ability to do that so I assume the living areas much be large enough for that.

3 months to decorate, not renovate a studio apartment and you end up with a style of 50 year lady from Boca? Very Hong Kong "mansion" style. I would want my money back from the designers.

panyl vinyles are very tacky and fake looking in person. i would just use a veneer or scrap wood from the re-use venter than by plastic stickers to put on furniture.

hmm perhaps a better idea for picking the colour for a child's room should be would I (the adult) wear it and more what would the child actually like and be stimulated.

actually kids need more stimulation than adults so this is a really good design especially for babies and toddlers who are spending lots of time on their back looking at the ceiling. Feel free to read up on studies about child development and you'll find that kids have very different needs when it comes to color and decorating.
