Eeep, tv over the fireplace. I hope you don't plan on using the fireplace and the tv at the same time. :x

Wow, this is the best entry I've seen in the last 3 or so years I've been navigating to this site. The bar is set pretty high now. :D

I really like this entry. A lot of the other entries feel suffocating due to the amount of stuff people have displayed in their living spaces - like they're trying too hard. This entry felt like a reprieve from that, but also had enough interesting things in the living space to make it feel homey. You've got my vote.

I wonder where that pendant lamp near the stairway is from -- it really looks awesome.

Hrm, I wonder if there was a way to make one of these - instead of paying hundreds of dollars for one. This way, you can make it any color you want.

Of course, you would have to be careful with the light/fixture combination so it doesn't catch on fire.

Wow, this is really awesome. Thanks for this post.

This totally avoids having uncomfortable ladders to walk up in order to get to the bedding area, while totally maximizing storage by using the space vertically. The only thing I'd do is make sure the kids have something to hold onto as they walk down the stairs to prevent injuries.

Wow, this is awesome. I'm totally going to make one with my blue left over sheets, and whatever other matching colors I can find at the thrift store. Is there a way to prevent the pins from poking?

Yeah really - who can afford a $2,000 - $4,000 bed? I'm lucky that I *might* be able to afford a bed from Ikea that has under bed storage.

I'm not quite so sure if this is actually a good idea. Time Capsules are notorious for overheating issues, and stuffing it under an old tape deck might make the situation worse.

I've been happy with the Ikea Malm dresser. I believe it's under 300 dollars, and seems to hold up well.

I agree with edmarch and 1001petals. The photos feel suffocating due to the numerous amount of items in each of the rooms. Also, it doesn't feel like there's a flow going from room to room. It almost feels like they're trying too hard.

To me, when I crossed over in feeling like a grown up was selling/giving away college furniture like futons and getting regular furniture. Most of it is hand-me-downs or was present when we moved in, but still looks nicer!
