I've had good luck using starch to adhere fabric to walls. It can be tedious to put up, and buying that much fabric may be pricey, but it's very easy to take down with no damage to the walls. Temporary Fix for Laminate Walls in Rental? Good Questions |

I have a bedroom set that originally had a very similar paint treatment. I painted it glossy white with black accents instead of the gold. I replaced the hardware with more modern chrome handles. The result is beautiful and very old Hollywood. How To Spruce Up Craigslist Vanity? Good Questions |
