Love the bed area. This is my favorite in the contest so far: original and unique.

My only criticism: too much gray. (Love the color, there's just too much of it in throughout the house.) Otherwise this is totally wonderful. Love the mixture of furniture, the fact that the home is uncluttered without being minimalistic, love the owners' personalities reflected in the objects/decor. I'd love to live here!

Looks a bit like the Tiffany blue color that was so in (when combined with brown/black) some 7-8 years ago. It was trendy then, and it looks trendy now.

Yes! A great idea.

As a woman whose children are now 24 and 19, I can tell you that MOST of what kids get for Christmas (etc.) will be unplayed with, neglected, thrown away or stashed in the basement.

And the more they have, the less they appreciate.

I know it's hard to resist the gift urge. But try, try and try again. At the very least, you'll contribute less to the carbon footprint and landfills. At most, you'll raise less consumer-oriented children. That's all a good thing.

Gives me a headache just looking at it. But hey, it's your place and not mine: congrats on a vision and the courage to make it come to life :)
