I wish more people considered stripping paint off furniture to see the grain. Even inexpensive mass-produced older pieces frequently feature good wood somewhere on the piece: the top on a table, the frame of a dresser, etc. Before & After: Dresser Makeunder Curbly |

I couldn't live here, the colors would drive me crazy - but I'm still 'favoriting' this entry because it's bold, adventurous and unique. Kathleen's Gargoyle Nest Small Cool Contest |

It's likely a stunning transformation. Too bad AT didn't show it, focusing instead on stuff. (Toothpaste/toothbrush? Really?) Either show us the whole thing, or don't bother. Raina & Robert's Modern Farmhouse Makeover A Before & After House Tour |

Certainly one of my top tours ever. I love how you mixed old, new and antique and yet made everything fit. Great use of color and prints. It's all so relaxed and fun, yet clearly thought out & purposeful. Lucy & Thomas Say Goodbye to their Artful Family Home House Tour |

New favorite. Love the colors, the furniture, the ingenuity. You have STUFF, yet it's not cluttered or overwhelming. Glad you're proud of this place because you should be. Joe's Clever Ways Small Cool Contest |

Gorgeous. Fabulous job - it clearly took quite a bit of sweat and cash. But boy, was it worth it! People who turn urban back yards into urban back yard oasis make the city a better place to live. Before & After: Empty to Lush Backyard Studio G |

Very nice place - but I don't think that an apartment with a deck and a screened porch counts as 'small.' Maybe in Texas.... but not in the real world ;) Lisa's Everything's Not Bigger in Texas Small Cool Contest |

I've been through worse -- but I still have sympathy for you! Thanks for sharing even the embarrassing details (like measuring - or not - your tub.) I'm convinced that there is no such thing as a stress free remodel, unless you leave the country and pay someone else to manage the job/stress over it while you're blissfully thousands of miles away.
