I've just begun using Windows 8 for work. There is a learning curve. Especially in my industry (engineering analysis) the snazzy tiles are pretty useless and I expect most of my users to open up the familiar start menu.
But the multi-touch is a very important step forward. Been waiting for it for a long time.

A few years before I got my first smartphone I made a list of what I would like to have in my phone. I waited about 2 years, I think before iPhone 3GS was made. I still use it. iPhones 4,5 are just incremental updates to a product that supports me very well.
I've been waiting for something like that Microsoft Surface tablet (I think it's build quality blows away the competition out of the water) for about 5-6 years now. I still wont get it till they have the full blown Windows 8 operating system on it. Not some pared down thing called Windows RT.
I want my Adobe lightroom and photoshop to work on it right out of the box. And all the viruses that I'll contract too :/

Back when I was married (and I hope that doesn't make the following opinion any useless;), my wife and I collaborated a lot. I'd say she started off being the designed but once I got into it it became very much a 2 people deciding on everything process.
She shot down many of my crazy ideas. I tried bringing them up for several years.
I shot down many of her boring ones. She didn't bring them up often after that.
We each had out must haves and we worked around those. Worked out great while it lasted.

It took me a lot of self-discipline to get to where I am right now. Which is this:
1. My house is kinda clean most of the time. I try to put things in their place once I am done using them.
2. My dog sheds! So I sweep the floor almost every day. Having dark wooden floors is a curse. But I love those floors.
3. I have people over all the time. Sometime with very little notice. It takes me about 15 minutes to bring my home to a presentable condition. Well, the downstairs atleast. Upstairs is where the old monster still lives.

I use Evernote on my iPhone for most casual situations.
At work it is usually my paper notebook and a pen.
I've recently purchased a hard-bound sketchbook and a fancier pen. I plan on using that for doodling to note-taking to more doodling.

Note To Self: Pen & Paper or App?

I love pleasant music through out the house during most of the day. In the evenings it turns a bit edgy with rock.
I love the smell of baked goods in the house. Or a stew in the oven. But when the cooking is done and the food put away, I cannot stand the smell of food. Especially pungent food.
Incense sticks are a hit-or-miss for me. Some I love and many I cannot stand.
I randomly squirt a freshener into the air filters so that the fragrance is mellowed out further is carried into each room with the air.
All these stimulants take a completely different tone when I have guests though.
