What's wrong with Dove? It's what I currently use (the purple bar, forget the name, think it's for deep moisturizing) and it works fine and makes my bathroom smell clean and girly. Don't all bar soaps "melt" in the dish - something that a good clean every once in a while can fix? I don't see the point in spending so much on soap..... I couldn't imagine spending $10 on one bar of it!!!!! GASP. Apartment Therapy New York | Sexiest Bathroom Soaps 2009 |

Thank you for all your advice! I am planning to paint it a glossy teal color, leaving the metal scroll part as is. I'll either hang a mirror or framed art above it.. and hopefully finish the rest of the entryway while I'm at it. I opted for more traditional beige walls because I figured in 5-7 years I'll sell, and I wanted to keep it as neutral as possible so I don't have to paint again.. My entryway is hideous and the rest of my home is more "me", so hopefully I can make this area "me" as well! Apartment Therapy New York | Good Questions: Painting & Refinishing a Craigslist Table? |

Love the Morrocan-esque tiled bedding! It's on sale but it's still WAY out of my budget, sigh. Apartment Therapy New York | Question Answered: Saved a Rental Bedroom!#comments |

West Elm (Armless) and CB2 (Annex) have similar sectionals, the major difference being that both are armless and modular in nature. IKEA also has a sectional (Karlstad) that would be the most affordable option. It was surprisingly comfortable too (at least the one without the pull-out bed option, that one was hard as a rock). Alas, the fabric options are limited with IKEA! I have the CB2 annex sectional and it is working out quite well. For me it's shoes off inside the apartment ALWAYS. The only time this doesn't happen if it's some type of worker (cable, electrician, etc) who won't - and if that's the case I line the floors with newspaper/cardboard boxes. My family is from Korea and it's what I grew up with. I can't say this with certainty, but even if I did not grow up in that culture I still think I'd take my shoes off - streets are dirty, do you really want to live in all that grime? Seriously? None of my friends have had issues taking off their shoes at the door. It's really not gross since people usually have socks on. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | 37 Reasons to Take Your Shoes Off |

After much research (and trips to various stores!) I purchased the Dream storage bed froom Door Store (http://www.doorstorefurniture.com/bedroom/dream). I am extremely happy with the purchase. I'd like to indicate that the 4 drawers are not as deep as West Elm's, but they do fit everything I need (extra bedding, [currently] summer clothes). The price was great (around $800 for a queen with headboard) and it's made out of REAL wood! Added 2 side tables from Target for $50 each and voila - instand bedroom success. West Elm's storage bed does look nice, and if you aren't on a budget it'll work but there are other options out there that are made of better quality and cheaper! here are some pics - http://picasaweb.google.com/christina.m.chang/Bedroom# Apartment Therapy New York | West Elm Storage Bed: Now Available in White |

i purchased the cb2 annex sectional in slate. it's the most affordable modern sectional you are going to find - that alongside west elm's armless sectional which is almost the exact same thing (except theirs does not come with a chaise, but has an ottoman). it's not very deep nor very high, so if that's something you require in a couch this is not for you. however it is very comfortable and has a sleek design, great for smaller spaces. they sell attachments that go on the bottom so that the pieces don't slide away from each other - make sure to get those as well.
