When I read comments like the one posted by Aucht I always wonder what people want.. Do they want royalty to cease to exist?? Should all wealthy people hand over their money to the poor?? What?? There will always be people who are wealthier than others. Sometimes these wealthy people were luckier (born in the right family), worked harder or took more risks than the poorer people. Just like some people are poor because they were born in the wrong family, refused to move as much as a finger or never had the guts to take a risk.

I think being wealthy or poor is a combination of the above. Just about every wealthy person I know worked hard to get where they are now. They were lucky enough to be offered chance and they were not afraid to take them. The British Queen works hard every single day. And that at an age where most people in her country (or mine) get to sit back and relax.

No one can blame her (or anyone else) for being born in that particular family and she can't walk away either.

^^ Not really. As far as I know your president is more expensive than their Royal family. I'm not British, I'm Dutch, and I like the fact that we have a royal family. I don't care if it costs money. Governments waste so much, what's a bit more..
