I have the T-Fal iron pictured above and absolutely love it. While I use it mostly for my sewing projects, it works great on clothing and creating nice creases! Great price point too!

I have two of them hanging on my closet door that I store my nail polish in! They're so handy!

I've had to go out of my way to have a perfectly sized cardboard box in the living room so that Scarlett can sleep in it. I have also had to place a cup permanently on my nitestand for her to drink her water from. And of course, store bought toys are not enough, I must make them out of yarn for her. Spoiled spoiled.

I'm currently using the largest bin of #1 Liberty of London boxes to store my textbooks when I'm not carrying them to school, and they're so beautiful! It's the perfect size and honestly, they're just nice to look at!

I hang EVERYTHING on mine! Including my super heavy weight jeans! I just have to use four of the clips for them...but it surely is better than shrinking my brand new stuff!

annabananarama - I think that your friend and I have many many things in common. I'll be on crutches for the next three weeks but, so far have been on them for six weeks already (with a broken foot...so believe me...I know how your friend feels!!) and I have some tips.
If your friend is leaving the house to do any errands on her own, tell her to take a book bag. Pack some water & a towel. I haven't gotten any food delivered, but have gone through many drive thrus, and having the book bag is SOO helpful!
For resting and relaxing, make sure she's got her computer nearby. And just like tundrababe, I'm doing crafts right now. I've already started making Christmas gifts since I've got all this free time! Watching seasons of shows is helpful. Give her a pedicure. I live alone, and wish that someone would paint my toes for me since I can barely reach the toes sticking out of my cast! Do a "girls" nite. Pamper her.
You're already a great friend to be asking these questions and offering your help. I haven't had ANYONE be that nice, so she is a lucky girl!

There are really nice ones at Target that are moderately priced. And the website will tell you if they're available in store so you can go see them yourself!

I would suggest mounting the tv on the wall, and painting your entertainment center a bright color. I feel like with the black tv on the black entertainment center on the dark wood floors, the room is just being weighed down. Window coverings are a must, even if you have to keep the blinds, having curtains is a blessing!

I've decided that this year for Christmas, I'm only making gifts. With one exception (I plan to put pink rhinestones on tools for my Mom) but I will be making the tool bag that they go in! Etsy is even a great place to buy supplies for homemade gifts! I'm making the ladies in the family earrings, and Etsy is the only place I've been able to find cabachons, I'm so excited to start my handmade journey!
