I'm not sure if this is true for all fruits but this is the case for bananas- under-ripe ones have a lower GI value.

I usually do a cardio workout in the gym every morning, and when I get home I am STARVING! I have been making my own gluten and dairy version of a bircher muesli which I recently posted on my blog; it is a good source of protein and iron, and keeps me full for a few hours.

Great ideas! I love the pringles container.

Another good idea is to use a large dip or condiment bowl for truffles or rum balls, and wrap the whole thing in clear cellophane and tie with red or green ribbon.

You can actually freeze the dough for up to two weeks and when you're ready to use it, just deforst it in the fridge overnight. They only take a short time to prepare and bake, so you won't be in the kitchen all day!

I have blood sugar issues (hyperinsulinemia) and have to follow a gluten free diet so this book is of interest to me, however I am also concerned by the number of artificial ingredients it uses. While I eat stevia (it is a natural sweetener) I would never touch all that artificial stuff- it just makes you crave sugar even more.
