Mod Podge holds up great because it's glue and varnish in one. The fabric is thin so I poured a liberal amount of MP on then let it seep through the fabric. I didn't add another coat on top. Fabric is a personal taste - that's the joy of DIY!

Thank you for all the compliments! It took my son and me 8 days to transform this dresser and it was so worth it. We will enjoy it for a really long time. I love the idea of adding the before pic to a drawer. I have not done that. I do sign all my furniture projects because I consider them my art.
