WOW! This is tricky! In all honesty, I think converting back to a 2 bedroom is the way to go. With that being said, here are my suggestions on how to make it work: How To Convert 640SF Apartment to a 2-Bedroom? Good Questions |

Reading this post reminds me of our house in VA and we had the TV mounted above the fireplace. I didn't like it because it was too high up and it was the first thing you noticed when you walked into our home. Now, whenever we do move back into the house, it will NOT be placed there again. We have acquired a beautiful Spanish mirror that will go there instead and the TV will be placed on another wall. Also, because we have little ones, I'd prefer to use the mantle to display precious objects instead of a TV. On a side note, we do not currently have a TV in our bedroom and I LOVE it! I thought I would miss it, but I don't. When we go back to the States, we will NOT have a TV in our bedroom. The Home Theater Mistake We Keep Seeing Over and Over Again |

What a wonderful, bright and happy home! I want to come over for coffee! This one of my most favorite house tours in a very long time. I love how the house looks lived in and not just styled for the photo shoot. The pops of color, plants and flowers are wonderful and really add to the warmth and love evident in the home. I think it would be amazing to live there! The architecture and light are enough to do it for me. Personally, I would also use a LOT of plants to help purify the air and take further advantage of the light. Living in a Converted Church Toronto Life |

This is a beautiful space; everything is done very nicely and the lack of clutter is incredible. It's homes like this that encourage me to keep de-cluttering and remove unnecessary furniture. I absolutely love it. Johanna and Mike's Bright Brooklyn Home House Tour |

I agree with everyone: Do NOT move the toddler back into your room! We currently have our 2 year old and 1 year old sharing a room and what we did was situate their beds so that the 1 year old cannot see the 2 year old. This was easy to do because their bed/crib are arranged in an "L" shape. The 1 year old's crib has a solid covering at the head and foot of her crib, so, she is unable to see the 2 year old. This has really worked for us. We found that when they could see each other, it was a disaster and both girls stayed up "talking" with each other. Things have been so much better once we switched their bed/crib around. Help For Toddler & Baby Sharing a Room? Good Questions |

This is the post I was looking for! We currently rent an apartment and our landlord is just incredible, but I have waited over a year to paint our LR. Now, after reading this post, I think we are going to have it painted; however, my question is this: Because we live in Spain, should we simply paint the walls white (we have lots of bright colored pottery and paintings hanging, so I do not want to deter from that) or should we go with another color? Currently, our LR is basically gray and white, with touches of black and red. I am concerned that a color that appeals to Americans may not be as appealing to our Spanish landlord. This is so chic and inspiring! I also love to see how people live in small spaces as it gives me great ideas for our small apartment in Spain. Fabulous job and I really love all of the vivid colors; this is such a happy and warm home. Great job! Mary Lee's Life in 300 Square Feet House Tour |

An absolutely beautiful home! I love the colors; it projects a feeling of calmness, yet it's not at all dull. I also love how the color flow through the entire home, that is something that I am working on myself and just seeing these pictures greatly inspired me. Just love it all. Very well done! I have to agree with the previous posters; these are great, if you do not have much to display. I do not believe these could take the place of a bookcase at all, but I do like that you are able to see a lot of the wall behind the objects. Although the IKEA Expedit is highly used (some may say over used), I still think that it has a tremendous amount of functionality to it; there has to be a good reason why so many showcased AT homes chose them! Your newly Cured home looks fantastic! I have to admit that I am jealous that you spent your celebration with your sister; I would love to do that, but, unfortunately, I live in Spain and my sister lives in Ohio. It was so nice to read about the great time you had with your sister. Congratulations on being Cured during the month of January! Regina's January Cure: My Final Week January Cure Diaries |

Very busy weekend as we are leaving for Paris on Monday, BUT, I have managed to accomplish the deep clean of our living room. Even though it is pretty small, it took a good 3 hours to clean everything, but it just feels SO much better. Tarainsevenvalleys, I agree with you 100%! A return to white is the next big thing. I see a return to white walls (some will be shocked), as well as a lot of white furniture. With a huge interest in art now, I think that white walls are the perfect backdrop to showcase art. I have noticed that a lot of people, who shop vintage or thrift often paint their furniture selections a bright white; I think this helps with cohesiveness and just really gives a glam look to the space. So, white, a return to white is what I envision. Trend Prediction: What Do You Think is The Next Big Thing? |

I have a real issue with our lighting and I do not know where to begin to fix it. The main issues are that we rent and we rent in Spain. With that being said, I do not want to spend a lot of money on lighting, with 220 voltage, and then have to leave them when we move. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a couple of small table lamps (IKEA, 7 Euro) on our bedroom nightstands and I like them a lot; however, they do not produce enough light to be placed in our living space. We only have an ottoman and a credenza in the living area, and we do not have a lot of floor space to use a floor lamp. If anyone has suggestions or ideas I would greatly appreciate hearing them! Thank you all so very much. In the past, I have found that a lot of the fellow AT readers have wonderful ideas that I have used and been very happy with, so I am hoping my streak continues! I second the idea of a quilt, or any textile, hanging above the bed. I think that would add a lot of visual interest to your space and make excellent use of your high ceilings.
