I like how stark the white is, and how subtle the colors are. And the floor. Oh it's gorgeous!

While it's surely a cute idea, the remake looks awful and cheap - and not in the thrifty, hunting for nice antiques sort of way.

Way too expensive - yet, sadly, exactly the size of dresser I was looking for and can't find anywhere for an affordable price.

Oohhh! Is that it? Honestly the thought never even entered my head, and I enjoy typography and am often nutty for logos.
Probably because instead of a nice poster-sized image of at least an alphabet or something, they're Big. Gray. Chunky. Sparkly. Single. Letters.

Absolutely nothing. I live on the second floor of an apartment which itself is situated on the third floor of a building with a beeper entrance (it's not a key, just a chunk of gray plastic with a chip inside. No idea what it's called). With our mazelike corridors and rows of absolutely same doors, there's really not much of a chance someone would be breaking into our apartment. I've gone away several times while leaving the door unlocked (not on purpose, had lost my key) and nothing ever happened.

Very cool. I've seen a similar idea on a Russian design show (in many Russian apartments it being quite complicated to have separate spaces since there's not really a concept of bedrooms as such, and many families of 5 people live in 2-3 room [not bedroom] apartments). The only difference being, they actually had small shelving units on each wall acting as a physical space separator, with two curtains completing the illusion of the threefold divided space.

This is somewhat offtopic, but I really don't understand and actually quite dislike the "random huge letter on the table/shelves" trend.
It's so irrelevant and ugly. What's the deal?

The dining room is orgasmic. The rest of the apartment is too oversized for my liking, but that table/chairs/bench hit it spot on.

What a wonderful translation of the warmth of these people. Even if it's messy, it says something about the importance of being open to strangers and neighbors.
