Ginger tea (with honey) is also very good against nausea. Love it!

Kiana, I live in an apartment too, don't have children myself. You could bring your neighbors a bottle of wine and earplugs when you tell them you're gonna sleep train your child. I've found that it always helps a lot to know (and understand) why is someone making noise. Helped with me all the time, as noise-maker as well as victim of noise. Good luck!

I have mine at the back of the build-in winerack. Found out that there's enough space behind the bottles to store a few tea towels behind each. Neat, clean and unseeable (mine aren't that pretty)

Do you have a kettle at your room? Otherwise, bring one from home. With boiled water you can make couscoussalads with fetacheese and raw or blanched vegetables. You can also buy some good noodles, add sugarsnaps (blanched) and even a boiled egg if you want to be creative (put in in the kettle, bring it to boil, let it stand, boil again, and so on for a couple of times) If you're patient, you can even kook rice or pasta in a blanket. descriptions here: http://www.pacindex.com/student-life/2011/01/28/do-it-yourself-tip-blanket-box-offers-energy-savings/

Nice one, I'm hosting a Mad Men cocktailparty in two weeks (living in the Netherlands, so I'll have to wait) Will use the Savoy cocktailbook for inspiration.

I love my ikea kitchen. Got the cheapest oven and fronts, oven is perfect, fronts don't hold for many years but that was calculated. I was on a very tight budget when I bought my house and kitchen, so went for the €5,- fronts and planned to change them within 5 years. After almost 3 years, they're holding up a lot better than I thought.

All the inserts are perfect, good quality. A friend of mine sold kitchens for 10 years and actually thought mine'd cost more than double than it actually did.

Nothing keeps me from entertaining, the biggest issue will be that my friends are very busy people, but still... Just had brunch with 7 friends. As for the money: when I'm broke, my friends share the costs or bring in drinks.

This is an easy one for me, this newyear I planned turning my tv more off and books and music on. Also good nights with friends, wine and a good conversation are favorite. I also have a lot of old records I like to play alone or with friends, sitting on the ground. I always find those nights without television or computer the most satisfying.

I love these old stereo cabinets. I've got a working one myself. I've put an airport express to it and it works perfectly wireless with my mac. The original radio and pick-up are also still working, so it's a brilliant mediacentre.
