From what I've found on the www, the term "share house" is not synonymous with "sleeping pod." The above post is more descriptive of the latter.

No.

Her house is well organized and looks happy. While stuck in the white wall esthetic, myself, her colors just zing and seem perfect for the house and her furnishings.

I'm less concerned with Ms Coplans' honoring of the late deer than I am with the birds' nest collection. I tried checking the Ironwood website but didn't find any information on the provenance of the nests. Hope none are from birds included in the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty :-)

I'm sure this involved a lot of careful work, etc., and I'm glad he saved the chair.

It sadly evokes the look of oriented strand board.

Loverly! Thanks for doing all the work for me. I'm calling ABF u-pack-it today.

On second thought, you could just leave me your "stuff" when you move out. I will furnish with my own cats, however. Easy peasy. I'll give you 2 weeks.

(Seriously, if I may just have that kitchen . . .)

Since my mother keeps our family's ancient RCA tv (doesn't work but is in a "gorgeous mahogany cabinet") in her basement, I know exactly how low to ground the creature is. Not that low, actually.

Also seems odd that there's nowhere but the floor for the media cabinet cover when they're watching tv.

How much fun to make the layered and luxurious bed every day, with only one side accessible and that side so close to the dresser?

Was anticipating the finalists but none of these tickle my voting fancy in the least. If we were voting for pets, I might have gone for the room with the French bulldog (or one with a cat).

I'm so ready for the hand made gift bandwagon (teenager & young adult of the 70's here).

And that being said, I feel like a wooly mammoth regarding my disdain for some social media.

As I live in an inelegant, somewhat raffish part of my city, what I wear is not an issue. PJ's on early morning or very late short p-walks with elder Chihuahua, but then a more running to Tarzhay-type outfit if it's a complete round-the-block with the big dogs. A neighbor across the street brings her puppies out (they often breed their Siberians) while wearing "clothing" that makes the homeless pushing grocery carts down the street look nearly posh.

A set of lovely Michelin tires, complete with road hazard policy, was an especially nice present and one that I will warmly remember for many years.

@Jukesgrrl, looks like!

And what's this "follow us (i.e., AT) on Pinterest throughout the year" business? I've been happy to follow AT on AT. Don't care to join Pinterest and can "pin" my favorite images on my own computer album.

Thanks anyway, Maxwell.

If I WERE to vote, which I guess I won't be, it would actually be for Mark's tour (as in Mark with cake, above).

As of just now (11/27, a.m.), no one had posted a negative comment at the Green Wedding Shoes web page for this "industrial" wedding theme that incorporates a clothes dryer duct. Is the AT community more aesthetically discriminating or just more forthright?

My first look at this post, there were no comments. Glad I re-visited! I just don't get the Novogratz phenomenon. This makeover gave me the heebie jeebies! Glad to feel some validation here.

As a book reader, collector, and librarian, I say pick an awful book and have at it. You could use a mass market or trade paperback, i.e. one with a destroyed cover (I found an old messed up copy of Once Is Not Enough) that I've been saving for a book project. Perfect for the book lamp!

Wow. In my dreams ... Perfect pitch IMO, and the ease with which the rustic or darker wood works with the light upholstery is in itself impressive. The coffee table and the dining room rug belong in my house.

After 4 trips thru on this tour, the 4 walk-in closet[s?] referred to by @modern_love still elude me. Since my opinion on Sara's apartment being rent controlled is actually no opinion, all I can offer is "life is not fair."

Interesting tour. Seems like there are few windows, ergo, little natural light or views of clouds or trees with birds, et al. There are parts of their space that I liked but overall, it gives off a bunker kind of vibe that would drive me over the edge. They seem to be happy in it tho, and that's what counts.

Some may call this "therapy," but I call it sadistic. What a way to treat a sideboard. (Maybe the perpetrator would say, "but it enjoyed it.")

Tried this 5 months ago and again today. Same result. That low, thumping sound just puts me on edge. It suggests the thumping bass from random cars driving down my street and so-called adult but really adolescent, arrogant neighbors who play their stereos in their driveways. Often I can't hear any of the rest of the "music" (a blessing, perhaps?) but just a rhythmic thudding. NOT conducive to lowering heart rate.
