One desert that was supposed to be a roulade wound up as dark chocolate cake pieces served with bowls vanilla whipped cream and raspberry coulis. The strategy: choose a piece of cake, load it with whipped cream, pool raspberry coulis atop it, and stuff it into your mouth before it falls all over you. Tenth grade Christmas party at its finest! Cold from the fridge at two a.m. I'll use my hands, but grease on me is terribly annoying, so I usually wind up with a knife and fork! Knife-and-Fork or in Your Hand? How Do You Eat Pizza? |

I attend an Orthodox church, and love to say that I (born and raised in the California, of Western European descent) am the minority! This dish often turns up after a Liturgy we fasted part of the day to get to. Now I can bring it! Thanks! Flatbread Recipe: Manakish Zaatar Recipes from The Kitchn |

Tuna with light mayo, chopped tomatoes, and an orange on the side is my go-to lunch. I eat it at least twice a week. Trader Joe's white unsalted is the best! Just water and good tuna in the can! What to Buy, What to Make: Canned Tuna Ingredient Spotlight |

@BIBLIOVORE -- I agree about the books! I "collect" them, but it's because I love to pick them up twenty times over. I do buy 'Collector's Library' editions whenever possible, though. They have gilt edges and sweet little stripey jackets and are just so small! What Do You Indulge in Collecting? |

I don't know what exactly they have right now, but IKEA has beautiful duvets and covers at good prices. Their covers are cotton, which is immeasurably nicer than the microfiber most covers are made with. Duvet Cover For Less? Good Questions |

Ratatouille: so amazing. I sautee all my veggies first in olive oil, garlic, and a tiny bit of salt. Layer the following veggies (sliced and sauteed as above), sprinkling grated parmesan between each veggie: eggplant (1), zucchini (2 medium), red onion (1/2 to 1, depending on how much you like), mushrooms (8 oz.), and tomatoe(s) (1 to 2). Top with more parmesan and bake at 400 degrees Farenheit for about forty minutes, or until fork-tender. Make sure you don't sautee your veggies until they're entirely done, otherwise the dish will be overcooked. Also, before anything else, very lightly salt both sides of the eggplant slices and let them sit on paper towels for about ten minutes. Then dab off all the liquid which accumulates. This takes the bitter taste out of the eggplant. Do You Have Any Ideas for Crowd-Pleasing, Veggie-Centric Recipes? Good Questions |
