The bouncy balls would be a big hit with my son! We used the glow stick idea last year but made them mini light-sabers with Star Wars LEGO cards I designed (free download on my blog). This year, we're making "slime." (Be My Valen-slime) : http://www.stitchcraftcreations.com/2013/01/23/be-my-valen-slime/

I'm having the same issue. The form pops up for other giveaways, but not this one.

Sears sells a Jenny Lind bed footboard/headboard for $160, you could paint it. I also had one similar to these years ago that I got at an antique/junk store and painted.

www.homestyler.com is also a great, free resource for room planning. You can take realistic "snapshots" of the room as you go. I didn't use it for a nursery, but for a small 1-room cabin.

I'm sad that my son is past the age of really playing with play food, because I love all of these. And having made some myself, I think the prices charged for finished products is worth it. As are the prices for patterns (I've purchased some from Gulf Coast and I would do so again, paying a reasonable price rather than "ripping off" her ideas)

My mom bought my sister and I a handmade version first, her name was Erin. Then we put our names on a list at Toys R Us and eventually got real ones months later. Mine was Wylie, one of the bald "preemies." I have to admit I was even older, maybe 11 or 12... and I remember having a birthday party for him and inviting all the neighbors.

I'll be interested in the responses, since I've been thinking of making some personalized notecards for kids as Christmas gifts, but have been wondering whether they'll get used.

I, too, was inspired by the Jan Elani collages to make a slightly different version, similar to yours but adhering the images to pieces of foam board to give it a bit of dimension. Photo and tutorial are here http://www.stitchcraftcreations.com/2010/12/14/have-a-holly-jolly-christmas

I almost didn't read this because I thought "Oh, I already know what I use coupons on." But I'm glad I did... especially the tip about globes... I loved the recent post about the globe pendant lights and was wishing globes weren't so expensive!

Amazing! My son's party was the original post here, and I probably hear from someone once a week asking about details. So many Busytown fans out there! You really did a wonderful job.

So many beautiful rooms! When my son was a baby, I decoupaged maps onto his bureau drawers. Now, I like to make personalized "family tree" maps by downloading free maps featuring names of family members. Thanks for featuring my folios! One of my clever commenters suggested another way to make these: use those cheap 4X6 photo albums and slip the game boards into the plastic sleeves.

If you like Pooh, the audio books read by Peter Dennis are fantastic. It is the only recording authorized by the real Christopher Robin. To peachypear, we have a few books that came with CDs, that have two versions, one without the "turn the page" beep and one with it.

I was inspired by the great Saltwater Kids fort kit to make my own version, using eyelets instead of ties on the sheets. Details and pictures of it in action here: Stitch/Craft

How wonderful! I love the striped tablecloth that looks like a stack of mattresses. Makes me wish I had a little girl!

My own nursery (close to 40 years ago) was decorated with giraffes. I still have the felt, giraffe-shaped growth chart my mother made for me and my sister.

We keep a binder and add to it as it strikes our fancy, no real rhyme or reason. But paging through it a year later gives us a pretty good overview. I also scanned a lot and turned the images into different Christmas gifts for other people and wrote about it here: http://www.stitchcraftcreations.com/2010/12/14/have-a-holly-jolly-christmas/
My favorite project was scanning and shrinking down a bunch of artwork then mounting them on foam board in a collage.
