I have the oval one above and I put a small hand towel underneath. Every two weeks I throw that thing in the wash. No puddles, and a spa-like atmosphere.

I used to get those from a local grower when I lived in San Luis Obispo. I ate them alllll winter. So delicious.

Etsy always has the best décor stuff....I'm fond of the embroidered one, though the hands are a bit hard to see.

Chryses -

I've been pondering the Jazzloft vs the Jewel Sleeve, but do the Jazz loft sleeves offer any sort of protection for the disc so it doesn't scratch?

It looks like the Jewel Sleeves have a liner, which is what is holding me back from the cheaper Jazzloft sleeves.

My tip for cornstarck..actually my mom's tip is to mix it with a teaspoon of water before adding it to your sauce. No clumps. Ever.

My mom always made me Vietnamese congee when I was sick, so that's my go to.

I used to live and work in Paso, and even wrote articles about the wine region there. It's an amazing place with some fantastic wine...

My favorite is Hice Cellars. Eric is an amazing winemaker. Most wines are as close to organically grown as possible and his Tempranillo is better than the stuff they make in Spain or Argentina.

I'm moving to be closer to work, but I'm not a stone's throw. Instead of 5 min from my previous job, I'm now about 15-20 min because I can't afford to rent where my workplace is, nor do I really want to. My new place is equidistant from friends and work. Before I had to drive an hour to hang out with friends, just as stressful as driving an hour to work. It's all about middle ground.

I've tried to switch from the pine pellets, but my cat will not have it.

I also sweep up after my kitty, and have been desperately trying to figure out what to do about the tracking. Maybe I'll try this sisal mat, sounds like a good idea...

I'm a minimalist, so I don’t need the extra storage under my bed. I have big hallway storage spaces for sheets, etc.

I have a high-quality futon and I'm on the lookout for some tatami mats, or I was going to use the wooden decking they sell in squares from IKEA.

I have the same aesthetic as the photo, I keep everything on the floor. I have books in piles and a big wall hanging behind my bed, it works as a headboard to the eye.

It gives my room more calm. The only thing I do in my room is read and sleep, so I keep everything else out and all my clothes in the closet.

The expedit perfectly fits records and turntables. I don't think they're that bulky or ugly and my bf is also a DJ. They give cool audiophile look to a place, once you get the stuff off folding tables and properly displayed.

My mom, growing up, always used coconut cream for curries (of the Viet variety). She maintains it makes the sauce creamier and thicker.

I use light coconut milk, because coconut cream must have more calories (I have no idea if this is true).

I bought some kitchen cloths at Target, and use the ones from Trader Joe's I pretty much only keep paper towels around for cleaning up kitty-barfing related adventures. I use a roll once every three months maybe.

I need to figure out a way to eat tasty, healthy food after working ridiculous hours at work. I'm thinking a crock pot might have to suffice for now.

I'm interested in how those posters are hung, too. I thought it was binder clips, but there's too much silver for that to be true...
