I am currently using both (wood and plastic), interchangably, but at some point will probably use mostly wood spoons. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Wooden Spoons Make a Simple, Personal Gift |

These post make me remember why I joined and love, love, love this community. Hmmmm...where do I begin, have a few things on this list, bowls sans lids, "homemade grater," have been storing stuff in glass/jars for a while since I end up with a lot of homemade sauces/condiments --bbq sauce, ketchup, etc-- definitely have a pepper mill but never stick to the same one---uugggghhhhh---but this is definitely a great list to start from. Same as most post here, have Billy, heavier books on bottom -- no problems. (of course I have to remind my nine year old to stop leaning on them, but that's about it...) Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Good Questions: Affordable Modular Bookcase Options?#comments#comments |

I love a lot of things about this place. The effect of the chandelier off the ceiling is stunning IMO. And what I absolutely love is that it's real and tangible. Apartment Therapy New York | House Tour: Adam and Alison's London Terrace Masterpiece New York |

You know before I go through these pics again, I have to say something: I started visiting this blog daily because it is so relative in my life right now, however it is really discouraging to read some of your comments. Really just disgusting. I can understand stating your opinion and, even having enough design knowledge to critique/criticize some of the design choices. But some of you are just blatantly mean, questioning people's parenting abilities? People make choices based on what works for them and then they kindly open that up, a very personal thing, with the hope that it may inspire someone else. If it does not inspire you, say that, and that's all you need to say. Please don't turn this into AOL blogs cuz then I'm done. Last question/comment: I overlooked the leather chair and ottoman, great, great pieces! And can you disclose why you have the office space covered under the loft bed? I think you mentioned in the blog earlier, but I love the loft bed idea and can't wait to do this for a room in my house. It's always cool to see the office space, so curious, if you can/want to disclose why it's covered? Apartment Therapy New York | House Tour: Tonya and Ben's Den of Overhead Storage New York |

Also one quick tip, if necessary, hardware stores sell plastic anchors -- they are really a lifesaver for me. I have even purchased metal anchors that attach to beams in really tough cases, like my pot rack. My BK home has the worst walls, I mean it's sad, but my hubby has utilized anchors to the fullest and everything we put up (and it's a lot) stays put! I like your space, especially all the cool art above the eating counter, wall thing. I think it takes guts to open your space, so I commend you. I also think people need to be cognizant of everyone's various style. It's really hard to live in NYC and not accumulate a lot of stuff. Not that you can't control that because that really is a choice but it comes down to personality. That said I collect a lot of stuff/junk/crap, and then find myself having a yard sale every so often. I guess now is the time to get that under control. I really think you are utilizing the space as functionally as you can. It's obvious that you and your mate and your doggie actually live in the space. So it's more realistic to me than some of the homes I see posted on this blog. I am so challenged in hiding wires, never realized how bad that looks, am conscious of it and try to be proactive about it, but with all that goes on in life sometimes, it’s like whatever. Anyway I’m rambling; overall you guys have a great space. Apartment Therapy New York | House Tour: Tonya and Ben's Den of Overhead Storage New York#comments |

Personally, I hate it. I get the artistic argument, but it's not art on the side of my house. The saddest thing…this guy in my neighborhood put up a nice fence to protect his backyard which somehow strangely was behind a NYC bus stop, so like the side of his house where the backyard exist, was behind a bus stop. (If that makes sense). Anyway someone vandalized the fence the next day, he gets whatever remover he used and cleaned it up. Well, the very next day the "tag" was back up, so I guess “they” peruse the neighborhood and vandalize people's property at night. Love the Mimosa. Recently did an accent wall, sahara shade, very close to this color - not as bright. Very warm, relaxing...all that good stuff. Love it. Contrasted it with an antique red (on another accent wall -- in another room). I know, or at least have heard the reds are out, but it really compliments the "yellow." Anyway love the color! Mine "gave up" recently, about 4 months ago, since that time we really have not felt the need to purchase a new one (trying to see how long we can live without one). Believe it or not the inoperable microwave still sits in the same spot, on a makeshift microwave shelf over the stove. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Survey: Where Do You Keep Your Microwave? |

For my fam it's Christmas breakfast, it has become a tradition. Homemade waffles, with whatever fruit we choose, and the usuals: eggs, turkey bacon (sometimes we cheat and have slab bacon).
