This sounded awful to me when a friend recommended it, but it was actually pretty good: avocado on toast with hummus. Sounds gross, but it's actually pretty great and adds a bit more protein for those of us with blood sugar issues. Avocado Toast: Simply the Best Breakfast Ever? |

I know I'm a bit late to the no-knead party, but I came across this entry trying to troubleshoot, so perhaps some of you could help. I made this bread today, and it turned out ok, but it didn't rise as much as I had hoped it would. I used the correct yeast and let it rise for about 18 hours. Bittman's No-Knead Bread Phenomenon |

I don't have a dishwasher, and I live alone, so I tend to deal with dishes the next day. It's not ideal, but I usually reward myself with breakfast in bed feasting on leftovers from the party. Pate and fancy cheese makes everything better. The Unfortunate After-Party: When Do You Do the Dishes? |

Not sure if there's wall space for this, but I just installed two of these grids:http://www.containerstore.com/shop/kitchen/pantryOrganizers/doorWallRacks?productId=10027934&N=74107 Where To Hang Pot Rack In Small Kitchen? Good Questions |

My fiddle leaf fig freaked out when I first brought it home, dropping many leaves. Two years later, it's several inches taller and growing new leaves. I should note that I do not have much of a green thumb, and have managed to keep it alive since its transition to my home. Don't worry, I'm sure yours will bounce back in no time. While I agree that it helps to divide areas of space by function, I don't think it's necessarily to physically block them from one another. In my studio I use a combination of art arrangement and furniture height to acheive that purpose and it works pretty effectively, while maintaining a nice airy feeling. People too often fall into the trap of thinking they need an object to act as a divider. Semitranslucent Room Dividers: Separating Space without Confining It |

I live in a studio as well, and have found that a dining table with leaves that slide in and out can be a good solution to the limited space issue. Setting Up Home: Dining Areas in Studios |

I love the aqua in the big photo and the green in the photo with the plants in it. I've actually been considering using similar ones in my own apt. What brands and colors are those? Apartment Therapy DC | Flickr Finds: Color Edition |

These are awesome. I hail from a very small town of 1200 not far from Noho/Amherst. I wonder if I could lobby these guys to make a subway map of Leverett? Apartment Therapy Boston | Ironic Subway Maps for Non-Existent Lines in Real Places |

I know you said you're interested in dividing your space, but as a fellow studio dweller, I'd like to make a plug for keeping everything in one, undivided living area. Not chopping your space up into tiny spaces keeps everything airy and open. Consider taking the money you might spend on dividers and investing in some really nice linens for your bed. I'm very happy with my C&B Sloan leaning bookcases. Affordable, easy to assemble and nice to look at. The only West Elm item I own is a rug that acts as a magnet for all sorts of debris. I find myself constantly vacuuming it. In general, I think C&B is pretty reliable. Apartment Therapy DC | Big Chains: What's Worth Your Money? |

1.) Buy an at-home seltzer maker. That way, you can enjoy carbonated water without plundering from groundwater resources and you can add a nice kick to it by serving it with lemon, lime or orange slices, or even mixing it with juice. I have a box spring/mattress on the floor combo and I really like it. The box spring is carefully wrapped in a bed skirt and the mattress is dressed with a simple comforter a quilt my mom made. I live in a studio and have found that forgoing a bed or a bed frame has helped give my main living area the look of a living room that happens to have a bed in it, rather than just feeling like an enormous bedroom as studios tend to when the bed is the room's focal point. I actually have a chair like that from the 60's or 70's. It's a relic of my parents' furniture collection from when they first married. Granted, mine does not look nearly as pristine as the newer C&B ones above. It's nice to see a mass retailer like C&B embracing good examples of modern design. Having just moved into a studio in Woodley Park a couple of months ago, I can attest to the fact that pulling a sophisticated apartment together is a huge challenge, esp if one is young and (presumably) not swimming in cash. I'm digging the collage of art work on the wall over the orange daybed. I'm in the process of collecting and hanging a similar arrangement for my new studio and know how thought intensive something like that can be. Nice work! Apartment Therapy DC | East #27: ckfr's Mood-Enhancing Color |

Several weeks ago, I moved 285 feet. Rather than burdening my friends and loved ones with the affair, I hired these guys: http://www.bookstoremovers.com. I found them fast, efficient and charming. Even better, they're using the money earned by their operation to purchase a bookstore. Great movers, great cause.
