It is, but I don't find that it wipes off very easily. Is it because it is a sub-standard (ie cheap) grease pencil I got from the dollar store? Or do other people have this problem?

I've seen it in stores. It is smaller than the original Sophie and it is stiffer, sort of like the plastic teething ring stiffness. I think it is solid rubber instead of a squeaky toy like the original Sophie.

Can you change the layout of the kitchen to highlight the original floor, and then have the cabinets/island on top of the new floor to minimize the differences?

Hmm, I've tried them, and they were hard and un-ripe tasting. They are still ripening in my fruit bowl... maybe over-ripe at this point.

@kitchengoddess - does your oven reach temperature fairly quickly? Mine doesn't reach the desired temperature for a looong time. Do you alter your baking times as well?

I snap and peel then freeze the ends to go into a stock. If I don't have enough asparagus for a meal, I'll just peel. Oh, and I always trim the dried out ends.
