Ah, thank you so much for this post. In a month I'll be downsizing by a 1/3rd and that scares me a bit. I've always lived in small spaces, but I got a bit spoiled by the 1500 sq-ft of my current space. I'm really excited about the move, but I'm going to be nervous until I see how my current furniture does or does not work.

It's so crazy - I can't get this web site to load properly as I scroll down. The text and pictures just bunch on top of themselves until things catch up and then everything looks okay. Happens every time I try to move down the page. Doesn't happen on the Apartment Therapy site, though. Makes me really sad that I can't read the Kitchn anymore.

No offense, but if you label a recipe as gluten-free you really have to require gluten-free oats. Someone with celiac can get very sick from non-certified oats. I love that you posted a gluten-free recipe, though. More of them would be much appreciated!

I love pulled pork or beef made in a slow cooker. Having one would be so nice in the dark rainy months of winter when you just want to come home and have dinner made already.
