To me is more related to privacy... My dad passed away 4 years ago out of the sudden, and we had to go through his stuff, we didn't go through it in detail, but still, we had to see what to keep and what not to keep... That said, if I pass away, I don't want anybody to go through my stuff, specially if it is related to previous relationships.
Just the idea makes me toss everything from an old relationship away...

It might sound weird, but a teddy (check allergy free teddy's just in case) might be a great deal of help. Having something to hug when you are alone or to squeeze when the nurse is around, helps a lot... I have gave teddy's to friends when they had hard times andthey always had a healing effect.
