I think it makes perfect sense for a workout room. It makes me want to run up and down those steps- good job!

I live in Brooklyn with my boyfriend and a roommate in a two bedroom (with a backyard and all utilities included) for a very reasonable amount. Sure, there are certain things that I dislike about my apartment, but I only pay 18% of my income for this apartment. My low rent affords me other luxuries like being able to pay off my student loans in 2 years, saving for retirement and emergencies, while still maintaining a good quality of life. I don't travel right now though- one thing I want to start doing. But sometimes, you have to sacrifice some of your expectations or wants in order to be financially responsible.

The bedroom is next on my list. I'm buying new bedding this month and framing my art next month. I can't wait for it to be as nice as the rest of the apartment!

Can we still send in before and afters? Is there going to be a reader submission before and after?

I'm still finishing up two things that I wanted to get done last night. I am waiting for certain frames to be back in stock! Really frustrating but super close to being done.

I love a big rug, but sometimes I see images of rooms with no rug and reconsider my love! It would save you $1000. But if you feel like you really want a rug, I would not rush to buy one. Take your time looking for one. Do you have an interior designer friend that can look at your space and give his/her opinion? Sometimes I want a professional's opinion if I am goign to spend a lot of money.

Sooooo many problems with my bathroom. It is a rental and I can't do anything about it.

-fan/light combo that is really loud. the switch is on the outside of the bathroom. A really mean person could turn the light out on you
-my toilet looks like it came out of a public restroom. it's one that doesn't have a tank, but has a metal flusher
-bathtub poorly drains so have to scrub a lot. not a drain issue- more like it is tilted the wrong way
-water leaks out of the bath tub and has eroded the side of the vanity
-previous tenant never cleaned and the tile grout is permanently stained dark

I could go on!

I trip all the time bc I'm trying to look into windows. I'm fascinated by the way other "real" people decorate.

I'm in NYC and there were a lot of trees that fell in my neighborhood. I went out and gathered stumps after pros came in and cut them apart. Planning on using them as outdoor tables for next to my fire pit seating! Less mess to clean up and free tables!

Most of these are too much for me to spend on an ice bucket. Honestly, they don't get used that much. I do like the Trina Turk one- good mix of color and a nice hint of gold.
