Maybe a large shelving unit, like the Ikea Expedit, but one with a back so she can't crawl through? Or if you can't find anything, and want to keep the openness to the stairway, I'd just say, like many others, just move the couch forward. It'll make the living space cozier, but it'll be safe! Haha. I have that Ikea coffee table too, along with the matching sofa table (or whatever you call the taller table that sits behind the couch. My bad.)
