I love this entry and the boxy proportions actually help with little wasted space. I especially love how it looks like the sofa is off the floor and the credenza (cabinets) are hung off the floor under the windows. Are these kitchen wall cabinets repurposed? Please do tell! Number 8, the BluDot chaise, is 32 inches deep including the back cushions (which are probably not removable). That's way too narrow for anyone but a child. Small Space Sleeping: 8 Favorite Daybeds |

Ercol, This is a lovely daybed, but the dimensions are not in inches. Can you share the dimensions in inches? Thanks. Small Space Sleeping: 8 Favorite Daybeds |

Maxwell, I believe you are living in my old apartment. Judging from the photos of the delivery guys, the floors, the windows, etc. I am pretty sure I lived there 1977-1984. That space holds lots of memories for me. Hope yours will be as good. Maxwell & Ursula's Light Rental Reno: The End is... in Sight Renovation Diary |

Great, bright, well-organized space. I love the floating shelves, but wonder what the bookshelves are? Are they Elfa? Top Tours of the Week April 8 - 12, 2013 |

Haven't read the original post, but FYI my vet said that often washing or wiping a cat with fabric softener will take away dander, the culprit in allergies. Also, I know more than one person who was "allergic" to cats, who adapted to one particular cat and has had the cat for 14 years, no problem. Giving Up Your Pets: A Happy Ending |

Yes! I'd like to see color discussed in terms of location (north, south, east west light). This is never addressed yet it would seem to me to be the most important factor. How To Confidently Choose Paint Colors: Mark's Foolproof Methods |

I love the different textures, especially the carpet in the living room. Is that jute? I don't see a mention of it in the resource list. Can you help? Kathryn & Perry's \"Have Less Do More\" Apartment House Tour |

Does anyone have a link or more info about the safety of LED string lights? I'd like to use them, but I am afraid of fire. Also, do they come in cool and warm light? String Lights In The Bedroom |

Someone made a comment that AT seems to be having a lot of repeats and wondered whether it was being sold. I wondered that too and now, with this tour which seems so out of brand, I wonder even more. Kris' Comfortably Glamorous Home House Tour |

@eliz and @hrhprincessfiona I used to take the train home from Manhattan to Queens sometimes and my favorite part, especially in winter, was to watch the lights go on in homes all along the way, to look at the people and imagine stories about their families. Love your place and especially the bathroom! You didn't mention anything about the art on the entryway wall. Who's the artist? I love it. Amazing how many of us in our 60's managed to survive a time when nobody baby-proofed. The word didn't exist. Enjoy! Alexis & Josh Make Room for 3 House Tour |

A wonderful transformation. A galley kitchen is the best kitchen I ever had. And as for too many cabinets -- no such thing. It might be difficult for two people to be in there together, but a huge percentage of Americans live alone. I've cooked up some good times (with a boyfriend) in close quarters in my galley kitchen. The bad design of the "before" kitchen was because someone thought you had to have a window over a kitchen sink. Break rules! Before & After: Little Kitchen, Big Style The Sweeten |

What a great and useful post. I have a small place with Northern exposure (no other light) and my place is painted an off-white. I have always heard that expands a room, but in this light I DO think it looks "sad" and will try a darker, warmer shade now. Thank you!
