My honeydew melon has gotten quite large! We were lucky to have quite a bit of space in our side yard, so that is where we put our garden. I planted the honeydew near the edge of the gate so it can stretch through the gate.

What a beautiful party! I bet your sister felt very special!

Love the place cards with lemon halves. Great idea.

I made some Martha flowers last year for my daughter's 1st bday, different shaped than pom poms, from scratch and it was a major pain. I gave up after three and just hung them together in a bunch by the patio.

Elizabeth B - It doesn't have to be. I am just in the habit of doing it because it makes for a smoother melted chocolate that drizzles easily.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments! Enjoy the cookies!

I bought some deliciously juicy peaches today. Looking forward to enjoying those and might make something with them too. Maybe french toast topped with peaches and almonds and whipped cream. Yep, that sounds like a plan to me! I love that I have time to make breakfast on the weekends.

I have been wanting to try some granita. We have watermelon and that sounds like it would be a yummy way to use it.

That's strange, I thought I posted a comment but it's not showing up.

This was a fantastic and simple dessert. Due to my available ingredients I subbed the following:

half and half for the yogurt
1/2 tsp pure lemon extract for the rosewater
added 1/4 tsp vanilla
garnished with lemon zest (hubby doesn't like mint, so I never have it)

Thanks for the recipe. It's a keeper!

This was incredibly simple and delicious! I made it this afternoon for dessert tonight. I didn't have yogurt or rose water. Instead I subbed half and half for the yogurt and pure lemon extract for the rosewater. Also added 1/4 tsp vanilla. Hubby doesn't like mint, so I garnished with the blueberries and lemon zest. Thanks for a keeper recipe!

I have been using lemons so frequently that I've started buying the 5 lb bag of them at Costco, because it's only around $4. They last for a while too. I use the juice and the zests in many things. Great for marinating chicken. Love it in baked goodies or frozen desserts.

I just made Panna Cotta for the first time this weekend. I couldn't agree more...it's one of the easiest, fancy looking desserts. I made a vanilla Panna Cotta and topped it with Strawberry Coulis and shaved chocolate. YUM!

Tomatoes, lots of basil, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and mozzarella cheese are my favorite.

I also like hummus, tomato, cucumber, sprouts, and lettuce.

We are lucky in New Mexico bugs aren't really a problem. I never notice them when we picnic.

About 60 or so sugar snap peas, herbs, and bib lettuce. Soon some tomatoes, bell peppers, and green onion.

I would think you could do chili or sloppy joes pretty easy in a dutch oven over a fire. Foil packets are great like mentioned. Kebabs should be easy too. Precut the meat and stick it in a resealable bag with marinade. Put the cut veggies in another bag and assemble when you get there.

Last summer we picked raspberries and I found a recipe for raspberry rhubarb jam that sounded great. We ended up eating too many of the raspberries to make the jam, so instead I made a raspberry rhubarb buckle that was really good!

That is pretty cool! We only have 1 gutter coming down the front of our house so it wouldn't work for us. How great for people with limited yards though. We were able to move our gate up on the side of the house to install a generous sized garden.
