I only discovered BoConcept yesterday. I'm surprised to hear from other posters that the pieces are of poor quality (yikes, comparing it to Ikea is not good news!!). The website is impressive and the photos are nice -- and the pieces are not exactly cheap. It's too bad. I think I will go take a look this weekend. Hey amiecc, I think you have the wrong person. ;-) I wasn't affected by the storm. One of the few pluses to living on the fourth floor of a walk-up! Apartment Therapy Chicago | Open Thread 128 Chicago |

thenewmrsw, listen to what you're saying. It sounds like you're willing to get rid of your cat because you're incapable of juggling both a baby and a pet. Does that sound like someone who should be raising a child? Apartment Therapy Chicago | Pet Problems? |

For other posters who have a problem keeping cats in/out/off certain places, like the kitchen table, lay a sheet of aluminum on the counter or table, or at the entry of a room. Cats HATE stepping on aluminum and soon enough will just stop trying to jump on the table or enter a room. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Pet Problems? |

For all those posters who have a problem with their cats urinating or pooping outside of their litter box, you need to take your cat to a VET. It may not be because your cat is a jerk, but because your cat has a urinary tract infection which is very common in pets. For whatever reason, it makes them not want to go in the litter. Sorry I keep posting... need to finish my thoughts! lol Anyway, I will try spackle. My only concern is that my walls are cream, and the spackle is pretty white, correct? Maybe it will look worse! Apartment Therapy Chicago | Open Thread 128 Chicago |

By the way, aimecc, I didn't have a move-in form. I didn't have a walk-through. I didn't do anything except pay a $200 move in fee which is nonrefundable. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Open Thread 128 Chicago |

Another question: I live in a Lincoln Park walkup I'm moving out of this weekend. My landlord never gave me a walk-through. I had a non-refundable move-in fee of $200, with no walk-through. There are still giant holes left in the wall from the previous tenant (he had neon beer signs everywhere, from what I remember when I first toured the apartment before renting it). Can the landlord attempt to charge me for the repair of these holes? Apartment Therapy Chicago | Open Thread 128 Chicago |
