Minimalist. Open spaces make a small place bigger. And being a klutz dooms any chance for knickknacks to survive in my environment ;-) Minimal vs. Cozy: Which is More \"You\"? |

Another vote for the Microplane 4431 Fine Grater. The intensity of grated garlic surpasses other rendering methods, IMHO. My Uncool Kitchen Tool: Cheap Aluminum Garlic Press |

I use the Whitmor Aluminum Frame Laundry Hamper (7205-2465-JAVA). It's diminutive, looks good and collapses for storage. I keep it out next to my desk in an office niche between the bathroom & hallway. It stands in front of my paper shredder. I added the Progressive Collapsable Tub (CTD-1), normally for washing dishes, as a cover for the hamper. Fits perfect and holds papers to be shred. High & Low: Laundry Hampers |

From the perspective of living in a studio apartment, I've learned the hard way that it's easier to buy something coveted, than it is to find someplace to put it. So for me, what economics couldn't change, a small home did. I now consider space whenever I find something I want, but maybe don't really need. Idealizing the Unobtainable |
