The rolling piece of cabinetry is a great use of the same space for two purposes. If it were temporarily rolled about two feet in front of the kitchen sink it could serve a third purpose: as a bar.

Also, note that the lower shelves would have been inaccessible without the ability to roll the cabinet out.

This apartment shows what can be done by a (very) skillful designer with an attention to detail !!

The combination cookstand / nightstand appears to be on wheels because the floor plan shows it able to slide from one position (solid lines) to another (dotted lines). This is a great use of one space for two purposes. The lower shelves are accessible when the unit is pulled out, so they add significantly to space that can be used for storing kitchen items. The entire apartment is a showcase of what can be done in a small space.
