Those white chairs look like toilets! No thank you.

Yesterday I used the last sugar pumpkin in the house to make Pumpkin Whoopie Pies and they turned out super good! We even brought some over to the neighbors.
For dinner we made rubin patty melts and roasted parmesan acorn squash. I used left over squash and fried it up with sausage, herbs and added it to pasta with a wine cream sauce.

Tonight we are having Korean short rib tacos. The beef short ribs are going on hour 6 in the crock pot and the house is smelling heavenly.
Tomorrow we are heading out to the pumpkin patch and also do some apple picking so I am guessing pies will be made. Even though we are still in the mid 70's I have been wanting to make chili so there is a good chance that will happen but a trip to the farmers market can change everything.

I normally get in the kitchen around 5 and dinner is on the table anytime between 6:30-7. I love being in the kitchen so I really drag my feet rereading recipes and even check emails. On nights when the kids have activities I do prep after the morning school run and put something in the crock pot early or make a double portion the night before so I spend no more than 30min. before we are seated at the table.

We use Snack Taxi and love the company and the cute fabrics but my only complaint is that they take a really long time to dry. There is a single layer nylon bag that we also use that does not have velcro but air dries quickly. I would mention the company name but the label washed off.

We bought our daughter the chalet doll house from Plan Toys that shares the similar angle roof and I think it actually limits the playability.
These styles look great, that's why we bought it, but if I were to do it over again I would buy a more traditional style.

We bought 13 chairs from ikea similar to the Nisse around 4 years ago and use them constantly. We have used them for many gatherings both indoors and out and have not had a single problem with them. We have even forgotten them out in the rain a number of times and they hold up perfectly.
We can store 3 of them on a large hook hanging in the garage and they clean off great.
We were very happy with our purchase.

I was surprised how unwilling this school was to change AND what they were serving!! You have to know it's wrong to serve that kind of food. Pizza for breakfast?! Just one of the reasons I don't let my kids buy school lunches.
I think the "cooks" were scared for their jobs and that is why they came off so defensive.

I'm not impressed with the ipad to begin with so maybe that's why I think it's "not" I could also be that when I do look up a recipe I just set my macbook on the kitchen counter.

I made this last night and my husband and I loved it. I did add some sliced spicy sausage but the flavors from the vegetables were delicious! This one is a keeper!

I like the detail of the chair before but think the practicality of the after is clever and cute for a nursery.

We have had a number of play kitchens purchased both new and from craigs list and I know the amount of use would never make up for the cost of kitchens like that.
We are on our 3rd play kitchen. It's 2 basic wooden shelves, a small plastic tub for a sink and hook turned upside for the down for the faucet all from ikea. cost $40 i think?

For back to school gear I purchased a Pottery Barn backpack VERY similar to this one. The only difference is that it does not have Star Wars and it does have wheels. We are 1 month into school and I am very upset with how poorly the bag is holding up, especially with how much I paid for it!!

I have those same curtains in my dining room and I cut them too short when I was attempting to hem them as I am terrible at sewing! I love the idea of fixing the whole problem with adding at dark brown at the bottom.

I have looked at pieces like this before and although they seem to fit all furniture needs of young kids it just doesn't make decorating much fun. I like a mix and match style and this just seems too limiting.
