I agree with maielei, but I would even suggest getting rid of the corner built ins if it is a possibilty. I've never been a fan of corner built ins or corner furniture. You could put a potted fiddle leaf fig tree in a corner or whatever plant you like or just leave it "clean". I'd also get rid of the office blinds and maybe use some sheer white linen roman curtains?

I love everything about it, but in a lot of major cities 914 square feet is not considered small at all.

I find it very intrusive to ask someone what they do for work and I hate being asked that even though I love what I do, besides, I spend so many hours working that when I'm at a party the last thing I want to do is think about work! I'm with SouthLoopFoodie on this one. Good advice.

As someone who is about to move internationally for the third time in my life, all I can say is I take what I most cherish with me and I have never left a book behind, not even as a child when my mother said I could take my bare essentials with me. One was a box with my stuffed animals and the other was my books. Two things I can't leave behind; my art and my books and I have a lot of books! Sentimental value depends on the individual and for me every book on my shelves have their own story, no pun intended. My children have read my childhood collections and I one day hope my future grandchildren will too. I have downloaded quite a few ebooks which come in handy when traveling but nothing can beat the feel and smell of a great book in my hands! To each his own, right?

I think it's very clever and handy. I absolutely would love to have one for my desk. It's no big deal it's not Apple-styling to me because not every element on my desk is Apple, unless isharpies and ireadingglasses have come out and I'm not aware of it. Good job, guys!

I have 3 teens that used to have the washing machine running all day long because they absolutely needed "those" jeans or "that" dress. I changed the laundry rules a few years ago because of waste, not work, because they know how to do their own laundry. The amount of water wasted on washing a few items when there's water shortage in many parts of the world seems like a crime to me, just like the swimming pool that never gets used, but sure looks nice in the backyard.
Now, laundry day for clothes is usually Monday or Tuesday and one day a week for towels and sheets. If they forget to put something in, they have to wait until the next week. Only full loads, no exceptions allowed.
No ironing at my home, except maybe formal wear for a special occasion. If you smooth or hang clothes while they're still warm they really don't need ironing anyway.

I don't think it's natural to live like that. It is impossible to live comfortably in a high-rise with minimal energy consumption. It's sad if that's what the world is moving towards because high-rise buildings have a very negative impact on the environment.
