Adding more to the bumper debate...It appears Aiden is 14 months old and is now past the age when SIDS is even a concern. He can have bumpers and blankets. So no need for the bumper police.

I think we finally have a winner! Not my personal style but very well executed.

My parent's sofa started doing the same thing. They happened to have a king sized "egg crate" mattress pad on hand. They cut it to fit inside the cushions (doubled up I think) and three years later still no sag.

What a fantastic idea and just in time for my next baby due in January! I've always thought it made no sense to have the best designs on the bumper when a lot of people don't even use it. Usually it's a boring sheet with an even more boring skirt. The quilts are always nice but again they are usually not used and are difficult to display.

Perunica - Interesting article. I remember going to summer camp and eating a deviled ham sandwich WITH MAYONNAISE (and wilted lettuce) that had been sitting in my hot backpack for a good 5-6 hours. I did this every day and never got sick. But now I would never dream of sending my kid with something like that. I would cool it, but really it's just because I worry about everything. I don't really think he'd get sick but I want to prevent it as much as possible.

That zebra rug at a diagonal is unforgivable.
